Seraphina, by Rachel Hartman

Seraphina - Rachel Hartman

I was so intrigued by this book. I have loved the idea of half-human/half-dragon characters for years. So this book seemed right up my alley.

Unfortunately, this book did not deliver on the concept in the way that I thought it would. Seraphina and the other half-Dragon characters are mostly like normal people. Just some scales on their bodies, and one other ability I won't give away in the interest of no spoilers.

My other problem is that this book just couldn't hold my interest. I finished it, yes, but I found my attention straying over and over. I can't even explain why...it just lacked some essential element, but I can't pinpoint what.

I can't say someone else wouldn't enjoy this book...just that I did not.
